Choose what works for you
I work with individuals aged 14 and up using a Person-Centered Narrative Therapy approach. My aim is to create a judgment-free space where we can explore your stories and emotions with curiosity. I have experience helping clients with various challenges, including depression, complex grief, anxiety, and phobias.
Relationships require effort, and I believe in working together to enhance communication rather than hinder it. In couples therapy, I draw from an Emotionally Focused Therapy framework to help couples identify and manage emotions, deescalate conflicts, and strengthen their bond. Let’s work on building a supportive and understanding relationship together.
Signs you might need help
When life throws off your equilibrium, no matter how balanced you believe yourself to be, ask yourself: “Am I truly well this week? Today? Now?” Sometimes, the answer will be “No.” That’s where I come in.
When we notice that something is “off” for us, it can be difficult to identify exactly what. We tend to see the ripples first: I’m sleeping in more often, I’m heartbroken, I’m angry everywhere I go, I don’t like feeling judged all the time, nobody likes me. I welcome these ripples into the room, help people sit with them and feel their depth, and strive to name the rock that first hit our lake.
My Philosophy
Difficult emotions are not the enemy.
Once we sit with those difficult emotions, we can start to hear their stories. I use a Narrative-Style Therapy approach to cut through the things that are said in anger or sadness, and get to the things that are meant. Big emotions want to say something, and I am passionate about helping you hear their true voice.
Perhaps one of the most difficult emotions to navigate is grief. Yet, there are two kinds of people in the world: Those who have grieved, and those who will. Whether you have lost a loved one, are expecting to, or are yourself dying, I am here to sit next to you and hear your grief.
Let’s be clear: Grief sucks, and it hurts, and it feels unbearable… and it’s appropriate. Grief is a word with a face, and as a Grief Therapist, I am here to help remember and honor it.
