About me
A Little bit about Me
I was born in Brazil and raised in Mozambique and Zimbabwe until 1999, when my family moved to California. Before starting college, I returned to Brazil for a year and worked on a cattle ranch. After returning to California, I attended UCSC and earned an AA in Psychology. Before pursuing my master’s degree, I moved to Japan and taught English for three years. Upon returning home, I began working towards an MS in Psychology from Cal Poly (SLO), graduating in 2020. During that time, I also worked as a stand-up comedian and as a therapist at a local Hospice. Since graduating, I have focused on working with couples and individuals dealing with issues such as depression, grief, anxiety, and fear. I strive to create a nonjudgmental and safe environment where curiosity is the predominant energy in the room.
I accept CenCal. But I offer a Superbill for reimbursement from most
insurance companies
I work with children (14y.o. and up) with the stipulation that they want to
work with me and are not being “encouraged” to do so by an authority
figure.
